GK Associates, Inc. was founded in 1992 as an Independent Service Organization (ISO) with its main focus on providing consulting and technical support services for Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS). The company's first objective was to provide unparalleled technical support for clients who owned the Perkin-Elmer (now Sick-Maihak) MCS-100 multi-component CEMS. The MCS-100 analyzer lies at the heart of some of the CEMS currently supported by GK Associates. Over the past 20 years, GK Associates has incorporated unparralleled customer service along with a variety of products and services including long and short term CEMS Rentals.
GK Associates, Inc. provides support for many other analyzer manufacturers' products in addition to the Perkin-Elmer CEMS. These systems include equipment manufactured by Tyco Environmental Systems (TES) UltraCEM, the Sick-Maihak MCS-100 E flue gas analyzer and MCS-100 based infrared analyzer, Thermo Scientific, Teledyne-Advanced Pollution Instrumentation (TAPI), Ametek, California Analytical Instruments, M&C Products, J.U.M. Instruments, Rosemount Analytical, Universal Analyzers and LAND Combustion, to name just a few. Most CEMS supported by GK Associates also use various Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) incorporating sophisticated programmable logic controllers, computer subsystems, networking architecture and associated software. GK Associates has also upgraded many existing Odessa Engineering DAS systems to newer, more reliable systems based on several industry standard PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) platforms. GK Associates' engineers are well versed in the design, configuration and programming of these PLC's and DCS systems such as Allen Bradley, Hewlett Packard, Honeywell, Foxboro, Siemens, General Electric and others.
GK Associates, Inc. has over 30 years of experience with electronic instrumentation and computer system design, maintenance and operation. GKA also has over 20 years of experience in the environmental industry, in the areas of design, manufacture, consulting, regulatory testing and also technical support and maintenance services. Our other associates also bring a vast array of technical experience and knowledge to the company in areas of environmental engineering, testing and consulting, as well as CEMS repair and maintenance services. GK Associates, Inc. is also the founding body of Environmental Professionals Network, Air Emissions Monitoring Network
and Air Emissions Testing Network. Our professional affiliations include Air and Wast Management Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Professional Engineer Society, and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
The philosophy of GK Associates is to provide clients with the most professional, courteous and experienced staff to supplement existing technical and administrative personnel. This is done through contractual or per incident support services designed specifically for each client's individual needs.
